Jungle Parasite Clear... I have it. cost me... like 6-8 dollars? Not bad :) has easy to read instructions, and easy to treat.

He doesn't look to stunted to me though, he just looks like a scaled down version on a betta his age. The same way people bred the largest t the largest from each spawn to get to the giants maybe someone had tried breeding for smaller betta at some point and she got a throw back from that?
~just got to thinking how cute a CT that size would look~

Either way, i hope his health taken care of with no issues and if he's ment to grow that he grows.

Aw! A ct that size would be cute! Other than missing a few cleanings he has been well taken care of so hopefully he is just a small fish. We're going to the pet store tonight to buy him some things :) thanks for the advice!

He may be stunted. whether on purpose or accidental (or ill care from petstore ) maybe this'll help...

feed him live foods. most bettas cannot resist live food. Or, pellets (or any food for that matter) given to him after they have been soaked in garlic juice.
you can also fast him a day of the week, which not only helps digestion but can maybe get his hunger motor running
What kind of garlic juice do you use? Where do you buy it?

Most people just get minced garlic, put some in water until the water is garlicy (even squeeze teh juice from the minces garlic, add a little water) then dip in the pellets. Come across it in most (or all) grocery stores.
