2 Gallon fish bowl lighting

So my betta, Seven use to be in a 5 gallon hex. However, I just found out that my health is getting worse. So I bought a 2 gallon bowl for him, so it's easier on me, and I can keep up on water changes better.

Hence the fact that it's a bowl, I'm not sure how to light it. I'd rather not use a lamp, for it takes up much needed space currently. Would I be able to successfully mount one of those small lights over the top of the bowl? If so, what's a good way to do such without it falling in?

Thanks, and have a lovely Christmas!
