Mr. Plum's Fin Rot not improving! What do I do?

Well, as some of you know Mr. Plum has fin rot. I put him in QT with AQ salt for 10 days to treat it, as well as Ick (which he also had). After 10 days the Ick was gone but the Fin Rot had not improved. I took him out of QT and still after 9 days I have seen no regrowth. His fins look worse!
Should I buy him some real medication or should i just wait it out and see what happens?

Housing
What size is your tank? 5 gallons
What temperature is your tank? 78 - 80 degrees
Does your tank have a filter? No
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? None

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Aqueon Betta Pellets with Freeze dried bloodworms as a treat
How often do you feed your betta fish? Two times a day Two Pellets each time. Bloodworm Twice a week.

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? Twice a week.
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 50% each time with a 100% once a month.
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Stress Coat Plus Water Conditioner

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters? N/A

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Fins have been shrinking and the edges have been turning black
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? None
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Two weeks ago when i also noticed that he had Ick
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? I put him in AQ Salt with 100% water changes for 10 days. For the past 9 days he has been out of treatment.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? He had Ick when he got fin rot. He also had a spell of extreme stress when I first got him.
How old is your fish (approximately)? I got him a couple months ago.

These pictures were taken last night.

In this picture you can see some black spots on his fins and the big hole.

In this picture I circled some other places i'm worried about.

Thank you for your help!

He's so pretty. :c I hope someone here knows what you should do. It seems weird that the ick would get eliminated but not the rot...

Since fin rot is a bacteria, the AQ salt may not necessarily eliminate it, unfortunately. AQ salt helps increase slime coat production. Great for getting rid of ich because the extra slime coat makes it harder for the little suckers to stay attached to the betta. But not so good for getting rid of bacteria problems if they've already taken hold. And since he had the ich, his immune system probably got stressed and compromised, thus allowing the rot to get established. Poor guy, he's been through the sickness war.

To be clear, he has been out of AQ salt for 9 days? If that is the case, you could try him again in AQ salt, 1 tsp per gallon. Or you could start him on Maracyn II right away, it's up to you.

Yes, he has NOT been in AQ salt for 9 days. So, its safe to do another salt treatment even though he has already done it once? I think I will do that if it's safe. Thank you for your reply and Merry Christmas!

Yes, since it's been over a week, it's safe to try another salt treatment. I hope it works this time.

Good luck and Merry Christmas to you too. :) Keep us updated.
