Brown slime/algae

I noticed that I have a brown slime in my tank. It is on the rocks plants and side of tank. I have a 5g cycled and heated tank. It does clean up. Is it algae or something else? Will an otto or other algae eater take care of it?

It's diatoms. It's a type of algae. It's not harmful and usually goes away on it's own. You can scrub it off if you don't like the look of it. And you're tank is much too small to add any other fish. And algae eaters don't really get rid of much algae. You could add a snail, but they don't help that much either.
