Dory- Our first Betta!

I am a new Betta owner and this is our first one! :) I love him and already want more... hehe

I am so glad I found this site by the way... PetSmart people do not properly tell you how to take care of your Betta in my opinion! Going tomorrow to get him treats, more plants and a heater!

and heres Dory! (My daugher named him of course!)

He sure seems happy to me!!

That's a great bubblenest! I always feel so guilty about breaking up their bubblenests during water changes. I swear Vimes knows when his next water change is due and builds his nest the night before on purpose...

You've got some really beautiful shots of him.

He is a bubble making machine lol! :) I have to clean him out today... poor thing is going to be mad about his massive amount of bubbles gone!

Fantastic photos! :D what kind of camera do you use? The flash really brings out his color. He's beautiful. A common phrase on this forum is "Betta's are like potato chips... you can't have just one!" I can't deny this. I have 3. :) <3 We are all very encouraging as well, so don't ask for our advice as to whether or not to buy a fish... if you have the $ we will always say yes. :) Welcome!

Great pictures and your betta is an awesome colour! I've just seen the bubbles and now I know why the surface of my tank is getting bubbly! I thought I was adding too much water conditioner lol. I'm still new to this and seems I have a lot to learn, thanks for sharing
