Small thing so called a tank

Okay, so I saw this tank at Petsmart, and the site.
http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=2753229
It looks less then a 1/4 of a gallon all together not divided. Curiously I looked at the review. This is one that made ANGRY.
Quote:
"We bought this Betta Hex a year ago with the betta (our 5th) for my daughter. The betta is still alive! We tried 1.5 gal and 2 gal tanks before because "experts" said it was "cruel" to keep a betta in anything else. They're wrong. We had 4 bettas (all seperately, one after the other) with those tanks and none lasted more than 6 months. As long as you clean the tank every 7-10 days and feed the proper food you should have great success with this tank. It has never smelled "fishy"; unlike bigger tanks with the filters. I'm even thinking about getting one for myself because I love having bettas around. I would suggest not using the plant that comes with it though, too rough for betta scales. Instead, buy a small aquarium safe figure or even a betta leaf (small one if you can find it)."

thats another "tank" to add to the list of tiny cages they advertise. even .5g tanks annoy me.
id like to find out how to post a customer review to trash that thing in a review without purchasing it.

Done with the review, i got to wait 48hrs to see if they'll even post it up.

I won't be surprised if they don't. They probably only post the good ones :( Argh.

How many gallons do you think you could keep in THAT one?

I have that one, it is really friggin small..I use it for photos though, or keep it around for emergencies like sickness, etc. I hope they stop selling them though, they really need to stop encouraging people to keep them in tiny spaces just because they "live in puddles"

So earlier on I typed betta in the search bar at Petsmart...
It said...

Bettas require a bowl that can hold at least a quart of water.
So I looked into it more. 1 quart equals 0.25 of a gallon. And if you use Liters, its 0.94L of water. Does that sound real? I thought it was one gallon (3.78L)

You are correct and they are wrong. Personally I like a 5 gallon minimum, but a betta can be happy in a gallon (some wierd bettas prefer it...yes, people, I am calling your gallon-loving bettas wierd :P) as long as it is heated and kept clean. Anything less than that is simply too hard to heat and clean and just doesn't provide enough swimming room.

That tiny one is what petco markets as a good home for their baby bettas

I personally keep my bettas in 2.5 gallons, I just think AT LEAST 1 gallon..
What makes me mad is the half gallon tank divided in half.
Here look. They sell it at Petsmart and Petco.

I do like the black. That's pretty cool. It's the size that concerns me.
Went through the reviews a little, out of the three I looked at, two made their point it's too small and recommended something else. One said it was awesome. :( It's not awesome at all. I saw it at the store-they had it set up with a male on one side and a female on the other, it was sad. One was dead, and one had a snail on his side.
