Hi everyone!
I decided to officially join the forum after a bit of lurking around for a few hours. figured it would be the best place for me to ask a few questions and learn some info about probably my most favorite fish species - bettas!
I'm not that new to betta fish care. The first betta I got was back in probably 2004, when I was still in HS. I've had I think 2 others since then, with the last ending in 2009 after being with me for over 2 years coming from (gasp!) Walmart. i'm sorry the others didn't last as long. I was a beginner transitioning from goldfish to bettas living in 1g or less tanks. I didn't know any better, apparently (silly HS child)
I recently acquired a new one yesterday after a pet hiatus (nursing school=no life or time). His name is Maxwell, Max for short. Hopefully, he will have a relatively long life, moreso longer, like his predecessor, Michael, did. Michael can be found on YT if you're interested!
