No all male bettas should be seperate! If you have 4 or more girls you can start a sorority, which is just a tankful of females coexisting. But if you don't have at least 4 girls you should just give each female a seperate tank, and not start a sorority as you would need at least 4 girls. A 4 girl sorority would need an 8-10 gallon tank, and each seperate betta needs at least a 2 gallon tank. Find out more about sororities by looking around on this website, people talk about them all the time. Hope this helps.

No bettas need to be kept separate tanks if you wanted you could buy a divider or something like that that would let them be in the same tank but not able to get to each other. but only divide the tank if it is bigger than 5 gallons. The male and female combination would only result in one of the fish dying because of the other fish killing it. like betta mommy said you could look into a sorority if you wanted to keep MULTIPLE females together not just two or three in the same tank but do your research first before you buy any fish! good luck

Okay, a crowntail betta is a betta. Tail type has nothing to do with compatibility. Males of any tail type cannot be housed together. Females can only be housed in a sorority in a 10 gallon bare minimum tank that is fully stocked with plants and decor.

Males and females can't live together either.

Sorry! These betta fish were bred to fight, and so they have those instincts embedded into them. It means we have to keep them alone or they will eventually kill each other!

If you upgraded to at least a ten gallon tank and you wanted to start a sorority your tank would have to have a ton of plants in it like this! And only the females can live together in groups of 4 or more 5 is actually better. NEVERRR can two males live together EVER!!! Like purplemuffin said tail types do not matter on if they are compatible.
