My easy filter baffle for $1

Just wanted to share my quick and easy baffle I put on my filter. It attatched on a clip the filter media has on it, and does a great job. These body sponges are nylon, so they should hold up well, and they are soft and shouldn’t scratch or tear.

Looks similar to using a foam insert over the outflow, I have to try one of these, think the filter is irritating my boy

thats a great idea. sometimes when I've bought those they have a weird smell to them so I am afraid there might be some kind of chemical on them. But i guess rinsing it in water would take that away. Creative idea!

These didn't have any smell to them (I actually checked before I bought them). I did rinse it for a good 5 min in hot water before I put it in.

I actually think he liked it when it was flowing, he would swim to the top and ride the current down the side of the tank. But I'm going to leave it on for now.

Looks like you got the Tetra 15g tank lol. The only thing I didn't replace in that kit was the tank, the hood, and the light housing lol
