Question thinking of calling it quits

so tomorrow will be 3 days of my pair doing nothing. my male just looks up at his nest and my female swims around, occasionally going to the nest but darts away. doesnt seem like my female is ready this time. the first time i spawned this pair i got eggs in 20 hours..

what do yall think i should do?

It can take upwards of a week. If there's no fighting, your female is still eggy, and the male is still doing his bubblenest then you can leave them together another day or two.

If you want you can separate and recondition them, or try a different pairing.

If they're active (specially the male), let nature take it's course. But if they begin to show signs of lethargy, separate and recondition them.

White spots? are they 'fuzzy' at all?

That's Ick.
Clean the whole tank.
Scrumb it with hot water.
Treat the fish with quick cure or salt and slowly rasie the temperature to 84 degree.
