Hello, my name is Marina. And I have a betta addiction.

So I finally picked up my fishy yesterday after my last exam. It was my incentive all week. :)

He was in one of those little cups with the blue water and so it was hard to tell his color. I thought I saw a hint of red, but for the most part everybody thought he looked blue. After I put him in his big tank though his true colors showed. So happy to have him:)

I fed him last night and this morning. He doesn't seem to see the food though. It just kinda falls to the bottom. :/ Soooo I'm hoping he'll see it. I'm gonna go in and get some freeze dried snacks one of these days to mix things up.

Also, with partial water changes, what container do you guys usually use to hold the new water and treat it before you put it in the tank? I was thinking just a bucket, I'm just concerned if it's ever been in contact with chemicals. Any ideas?

I've been following these forums all week and I'm obsessed. I'm excited to finally be a part of the community! <3

Welcome to the forum! :D And very cute betta you have there! I love his little tank! I wouldn't worry too much about the 'not eating pellets thing' it will probably take him a while to figure them out. As for mixing up new water I just use old water or milk jugs, they work great!

Thank you! I can do milk jugs. I didn't even think of that :)

And that's what I figured, he's still getting used to his new home. This morning he was so much perkier than last night, swimming around like he was trying to cover every inch of space in as little time as possible. XD

hahaha no, I moved FROM NC to Ohio, I lived there since I was little. I actually have family who live near the Blueridge mountains:)

I miss the warmth. there is snow on the ground right now. xD

i actually have 3 of her fries left :) there both VTs, her name was strawberry, since sometimes she sweet other times she sour :P
