Hello fellow betta Gurus

I have had the betta addiction ever since i got my first betta in an old cleaned out cookie jar when i was much younger. I have spent many years doing the best I can to enjoy these amazing little creatures. I thought I would join to keep in touch with others who are fascinated by these amazing little fish.

Currently I have what i bought at my LFS as a " platinum white super delta". When I got him he was pure white and had such amazing finnage I could not resist. Over the last couple of months, he has gotten a reddish pink tinge to his coloring and his fins are basically shot compared to when I got him. I am looking for some assitance to help my little buddy out. I will try to post a few photos I got of him this morning. Take a look and if anyone has some advice I would be more than greatful.

You can add pictures to one thread. No need making one thread for each picture. Use the little attachment icon on the menu bar and add as many pictures as you want.

You fish looks like he's tail bitting. The side of your tank looks very reflective, do you have a mirror next to the tank? That would really stress him out and induce tail bitting.

Don't worry about color, bettas change color all the time.

Hey Vil, I was actually wondering about those two things myself. He seems to spend alot of time at the one side of the tank for sure, almost pacing it seems like. I have read about tail biting as well and thought he might have gotten into that habit as well. As for the color, i knew it could happen but was not really sure why it does. I will take a photo of his home in just a little bit.
