Do those mirrors really work well? He's adorable. He looks like he used to be white and started getting some color..

It does work fairly well. Depends if he's in the mood to flare or not. When i first got it he would immediately go to it and flare until I removed it. Now he isn't as crazy about it. He will eventually go to and flare for a bit. I also find he is more keen to go at it after he is eaten and has some energy. Yes he used to be all white and has gotten some pinkish red now in his color

it looks like not only is he a horrid tail biter, but he may be a marble. that kind of red... it doesn't look bad. i had a pure white Halfmoon Plakat, who got some pink on his tail and anal fin. it's nothing bad, just red wash. whites often do that on us. just keep an eye on him, and keep his water clean for the fin to come back in. he's very beautiful!

I know about marbles as well but didn't think they would become that way. I do try and keep his water clean with a complete change every week. I hope his beautiful caudal grows in.

i'm sure his fins will heal up nicely. :V it's not really marbling, but... erm... i don't know the proper term. red gain? i'm not sure. i just know alot of whites, get red or pink on them at some point in life.
