Meet Alduin! :)

This is Alduin!

I got him at Petco yesterday (don't worry this pic is just for the fact it shows his colors best!), he was labled as a halfmoon and so far it seems true. I don't know whether to call him a butterfly or a tricolor, so maybe you guys can help me out. He seems healthy to me, but he hasn't eaten yet or seemed interested. I'm guessing he's still to busy exploring and I'll try again later today.



This is Alduin's tank, a 5 gallon Aquaculture from Walmart. He's got two (count 'em TWO!) heaters because it is so cold at our house that he needs one to keep it at "room temp" then another to actually heat the tank to tropical temperatures. It's at 74 right now, and I'm working on getting it up to around 80.

He likes to sit still and look pretty until I get my camera, but I managed to get these pictures!

He is a beauty!! I dont know much about the name of colors but I'm thinking he is a butterfly as well.. since when you google it you get pics of bettas like him. Congrats on your beautiful boy!

Thank you X3 I love him so much! Yeah he was the best looking and healthiest I found out of 3 or 4 stores, so I was willing to pay the $14 for him. I was mostly looking for healthy, the fact that he's a looker is just the added bonus ;).

woww!! nice petco find! the one in my area(santa monica,ca) really neglects there bettas.. poor fishys i complained to the manager today and told me He was going to have there fish expert on it.. but beautiful!!

He flared for the first time yesterday! I guess that means he's comfortable enough to call the thank "his" now x3

he's so pretty!!! I have the same vase-thingy, i love it! may I for a reveiw of that tank? I was at walmart today and I was gonna buy it but i thought I should wait for some opinions first
