My Betta & Tank Setup

Tank: 10 gallons
Heater: its one thats pre-heated to 78
Filter: its 10-15 size and i believe is made by Tetra company
Thermometer they were out so im going back to get one

i have one betta named Edward Cullen i got today! when i introduced him to his new home he did a check out of his new surroundings and the decor! he seems to enjoy hiding in the tree stump decor ive seen him in it twice! he also likes swimming through the fake driftwood decor! i do have a question though.. while he does swim all over the tank ive noticed him continuously in the back of the tank swimming from one end to the other.. while there may be times he only swims halfway and turns around and goes back.. it has me concerned that he does this. im not new to fish keeping but it has been a while and i cant remember if this is normal behavior.. what would be the cause for this?

as for the darting, all three of my betta do that, it reminds me of flo from finding nemo where they see their reflection in the glass, sometimes putting a background on the tank can help, with my boy rebel it only got worse, lol

thank you!!!! do you think my setup is okay??? i was afraid to put too much in there i didnt want to overcrowd it with decor but i dont want him to be stressed either.

thank you! i was just thinking that earlier i came across a background i had saved from my other tank i thought i might put it on to see if that will help cause he does swim in other places of the tank but he seems to go back and forth alot and it made me nervous

i added the background to the tank.. its kind of hard to tell cause its light blue i might switch it to the other side it might be darker

i just reversed the background to the other side.. which looks better???

i got some new decorations for Edward today! some plants and a bag of gravel! i think it looks better and it'll give him some more hiding room!
