The DIY divider in the link is easy, and with a bit of aquarium sealant, is quite safe. I have one in my own tank and haven't had a problem with it.

its like glue but safe for the tank... To keep the divider in place. If you use report sliders on all 4 sides you can go without the sealant. I'm not using it in my tank.... But you gotta do all 4 sides or it will slide around. Most packages come with 6 sliders. I didn't use the sealant cuz I take the divider out for cleanings.

Mine is actually aquarium silicone. And I'd still recommend it for the dividers made with report covers. It keeps the holders in place, and is just safer.

its safe without it, just check on it every so often. There are tons of people on here that don't use the sealant. You just need to be sure you make it a good size where it bows a tad so its snug.

K, i made the divider out of the peg basket idea i put it in the tank withput my fish and it works pretty good i just tie the sides to a paper clamp with string. Cant wait to get my new fish :D thanks for all the help.

I feel safer with the sealant, not saying you can't do it without the sealant.

Glad you were able to find something that worked wolf, ps, we love photos when you get some boys, or girls in there :)
