Anyone remember the way those stupid idiotic vases looked, the ones that were sold with a plant and Betta in the past? I have a miniature one placed on it's side in my Neomi's tank, to act as a cave for him. Well he loves it.
Anyways, I usually trap a little air in it for him and change it every few days. Well, when I looked at it earlier, there seemed to be more air in it then I remember putting in it. I figured it was my imagination until I looked at it later on tonight. The trapped air bubble was way bigger. I was like; "WTH!"
I noticed then what Neomi was doing. He's been traveling back and forth from his vase to the corner behind his filter, collecting air bubbles in an attempt to build a bubble nest IN his cave. XD Unfortunately, there is too much water pressure to keep the bubbles shape that he blows there so it just adds to the one big bubble of air trapped there. Every-time he comes back to it he looks puzzled and tries it again. Lol! He's so cute! XD
I'm wondering if I got another mini vase how I would attach it so it's just underneath the water so he can build a happy bubble nest. I tried giving him a leaf and a half of Styrofoam cup, but he ignores them. I couldn't help but share this...XD
