Filter Baffle...?

I have a 5-15 gallon Tetra power filter, I've tried a sponge baffle; nothing. The bottle baffle; eh, helped a little bit but I've heard they can kill your betta. I was wondering if pantyhose would work, and if they do, what type? Like tan or black.

You could try panty hose. I don't think it will hurt anything. I have only used the sponge and bottle methods (I actually have filter baffles on all of my tanks, betta or not). Another option you could use is a sponge/bubble filter. They are just as effective and provide much less surface disturbance. I use them in my betta tanks.

I don't think that the bottle would hurt a Betta in any way, I use that method and nothing bad has happened to my betta

I didn't mean to offend anyone, but I heard that it could; such as the betta getting stuck in it... Everybody has a different view, sorry if I did though.

I like sponge filters, because I tried baffling my filters every which way and they never lasted and they looked grotesk. So I got some sponge, air pumps, air stones and tubing, and youtubed how to make them. They help create a cycle, they don't push my boys around, and I have less issues with fin biting, and stress. Thats just a personal opinion because I tried using normal filters but the baffling process just was a complete mess for me.
