Greetings and salutations!
The name is Holly, though I usually go by Stray, a nickname given to me in 5th grade. Weird I know, but normal is boring! Anyway, I was browsing the internet, doing some Betta research, because one can never be too educated, and I stumbled across this forum. I have been looking it over for the better part of a month and finally decided to join. I have to say, this page is full of useful information, and helped me with my most recent Betta adventure. I am a new happy parent of a multicolored veil tail named Jarvis!
I have been fishkeeping since middle school, keeping Bettas and Goldfish mostly throughout that time. My last Betta friend, Backdraft, passed away a couple years ago, after three years together. A couple months afterward, we had to put my dog down. R.I.P. Backdraft and Darcy. <3
Since then I have been petless, but I couldn't handle the loneliness anymore, and decided to get another Betta, hence the research overload. It had been a couple years, and wanted to make sure I was up to par. I am so glad I got Jarvis. Nothing is more relaxing than just sitting and watching a fish, and listening to the water flow through the filter. I feel much less stressed out now, and I missed the responsibility.
Anyway, just wanted to give a little introduction! I hope to get to know everyone better, and learn as much as I can about Bettas!
