And got a betta for my new 10 gallon. I was wondering if there were any micro schooling fish that would be able to be kept with these guys? Id love to get RC shrimp for a clean up crew on top of the pond snails I have as I am planning on doing a DP tank eventually.

Some smaller species of rasbora such as mosquito rasbora might do alright depending on whether your male sees them as a snack.

Otherwise I believe it can be a hit and a miss with tetras as to whether your male will tolerate them and whether they won't nip his fins.

I was actually thinking about 3-4 kuhli loaches. would this work out?

They would do great in your sandy substrate but you would probably want to go with at least 6. They tend to show up more if you keep a lot of them. I have 3 in my tank (others have died off) and I never see them. I'll be getting more for myself as soon as I know my plans for the next 3 years.

Sounds good to me... Like 6 kuhli's some RC shrimp and a betta. id like that tank.

I have 7 in my 29 and the floor already seems crowded. I dont think id want to do any in this 10 and thanks for the compliment. :)

Edit- I was actually thinking about doing pygy corys but they aren't readily available around here.

That sounds like a great tank! Pangio loaches and bettas are some of my favorite fish. Heck I might even try a tank like that some day. Can't wait to see pictures!
