Question betta fish questions.

i adopted my first betta from walmart yesterday and hes now in a 4 gallon tank. i just have a few questions..

i tryed to feed him this morning and he munched on it a bit and then spit it out.. he isnt hungry or doesnt like the food? ( i have aqueon betta food daily nutrition small beed like)

he seems to be a big lazy atm is this normal because of new environment? he mainly just chills in some spots but every now and then i see him swim around.

i think im just being paranoid since its known for fish to behave like this in a new environment just want some opinions.
other info.
2-10I tetra internal filter. i have it set up so there is high current
water temp 76-77

he is perfectly healthy aswell. no spots, clear eyes etc.

He sounds like he's just getting used to his new home. However, bettas like very little to no water current so I suggest turning the filter down or baffling it until there's very little movement. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum, connerstunt. Your betta may be adjusting to his new home, as badjer said. New bettas sometimes are reluctant to eat for a few days or even a week. One thing you can try is crushing the pellets into smaller pieces and seeing if that makes it easier for your guy to eat.

I have one who won't eat. It's normal but annoying though it sounds as if the pellet may be a little to big. So either crush it up like said above or try a smaller pellet.
