Funny Parts of Breeding Bettas

I am literally staring at my pair Draco & Korra and I htink this is probably the funniest thing that I've seen when breeding bettas. (I've seen this quite often)

Korra:

Draco:

And when Draco would lure her to his Teenie Tiny little bubblenest, she would get sent away. When she was finally there and chasing him back to the nest he would do the cute little Wiggle Dance and his caudal would repeatedly SLAP Korra in the face and then it looks like she is saying "You called me over for this?!...really" And then he would continue to keep doing this. I'll see if I can get a video.

I think they are going to spawn tonight or tomorrow. Today is the second day. (This is not a spawn log) I will be making a Log when I see some eggs.

She is very ready to start embracing and he is just having a few second thoughts. When I see her come up to him and his nest, HE chases her away, Almost like HE has to be the one to invite her over and she is just trying to make the first move. His nest is pretty small ATM, but he decided to go without the 1/2 cup and is in the back of the tank so it will be hard to take pictures and videos though I'm happy that he has chose a place where the fry are going to love laying on the plants and it will make his job a whole lot easier!

I hope you guys liked my Rant:)

And I'll get that video up soon.

Finiest thing I've seen was my male doing an embrace w/o the female and stunning himself. The female pecked him a couple of times to get him out of it... I should find the video.

@vilmarisv: I have definitely laughed at that a couple times!

Though when Korra was just suttung there and getting "slapped" by his caudal I laughed so hard and pretty loud as well. My sister came up and asked what was funny as I don't have a TV or much entertainment in my room.

While it's not actually somethng my bettas did...

The first time I bred bettas I was till in high school. I guess the pair decided they wanted to do it while they had privacy and I was in class.
That morning I told my dad to check on them a couple times while I was gone to make sure the boy wasn't being to aggressive and what not.
Well, I guess he missed the embrace and just saw the female stunned and floating and thought she was dead. I come home to my dad in tears saying the male killed my female, nearly giving me a heart attack. I go to look and they're both swimming just fine, male watching the nest and female begging for food.

xD It was amusing after when I explained to him what went on.

The first time I ever saw a spawn, when the female stunned, it scared me, but I decided to just watch and see what happened, I'm glad I did! They both would have been mad at me. LOL
