Is it love or War?

Today I purchased a Betta for my little brother since his last one died(Spraky.. did I mention me brother is 11yrs old? lol)when he was fed the wrong food. But the last few months he has been a huge help with taking care of my female betta (Ramona or Mozilla). But when we were there I fell in love with a male betta. Which brings me to the topic..is it okay to put them next to each other? the same tanks but close to each other. I've been reading on other postings and know that I'll need a bigger tank for them to be in the same one but I noticed they stay near each other and fan out when they make eye contact.

As long as there is a divider yes. There are a few tutorials on how to make some. They may get bored of each other after a while, but if they continue to fight there is another tutorial on how to make a sheet of paper to put between the divider so they can't see each other.
