Oh, they're hearing from me tomorrow. New shipment tomorrow as well if the storm holds off. There were like 4 bored workers the other day when I went in. WTH were they doing!?? I don't care what anyone says, the balding owner don't give a smack about his bettas.
Andrea and one other employee are the only ones who seem to even care a bit about them. This other employee (no idea what her name was), talked a person out of a bowl, into a 5 gal tank, heater, good noms, etc. I stopped her and thanked her!
These pics were taken yesterday morning. I had him floating in the .5g which was floating in the 3g for the heat. He was on salt and IAL for 6 days. I felt he was strong enough to go back in the 3g (I actually am only guessing its a 3g.) He's been getting a bigger and bigger personality as we go forth.
The edges on his tail are still damaged, I almost wish he would just bite them off and make room for re-growth but I'll take it as it is :)
I'll be making a trip to get some better fake plants. And do more research on live ones. How do you guys put your java fern down? I bury it in gravel to anchor it. I don't know what else to do and I don't want to kill it. I might get one for Ludey, which is why I wonder.
Me too! I have no space though, so I couldn't give them the homes they deserve :/ Lucky are the ones we do save! Ludey and Bowser are getting their bloodworms now in a minute, I hope Ludey eats them. During the worst of his condition he wouldn't touch them, now he's able to swim better! Fingers crossed!
The water level is lowered to just above the moss on the driftwood. I lowered it every day with each water change. To see if that's been bothering him. Does seem to make a bit of a change in that he seems more comfortable in less water. If this is the case, do you think it wise I switch the 2 fish? Bowser makes bubble nests daily and loves life, but he also is accustomed to being on my desk and thus getting more attention. Ludendorff would do better in the less high tank I think.
He eats still but generally, other than when I do changes on the water, he just lays around doing nothing. Any ideas what might be wrong?
Don't know if this will help since all fish are different but I have to keep My boy Red in a one gallon. He doesn't do well without close quarters and lots of plants. He is lazy, lol. But I switched Captain to a big tank and he loves it so you can try other things if you think it will be better. I am not suggesting aby tank sizes but maybe they just like to close quarters like Red does.
