Arrow Small Bowl Betta?

Hello All:
I currently have 2 bettas, both are in 1gal tanks. Sparky has been alive for 2 years, and Moonie for about 7months. Neither has ever had any sort of health problem. They do not have heaters or lights, but my house does not get that cold. Do you think that this is OK? We do not have very much room in my household for big tanks over 2.5-5 gallon.... soo....

I'd recommend upgrading each to 2.5 gal tanks at least. Definitely get a heater for each of them, as bettas need temps of 78-80 degrees being tropical fish. What temp is the water at currently?

I think you should upgrade as well. They will be a lot happier! Also, the larger the tank usually the fewer water changes and labor it requires.

That's too cold :( They are tropical fish, so they need tropical temperatures. Also, remember that the smaller the tank, the more water changes needed.

i would suggest getting one 5g tank and one 25w adjustable heater .. it'll be cheeper then having 3 one gallon tanks with 3 heaters for your 3 bettas .. since you could divide the 5 gallon 2 times to have 3 sections and that would take up less space then having 3 one gallon tanks with different heaters to have to buy

Ok, thanks! The temp hovers around 75, sometimes lower, sometimes higher. I will (try) to convince my parents to let me get mabye a 10 gal and split it 3 ways.
