Question wheres the line between love taps and abuse?

so i released my pair this morning, started off good, they flared and swam together, no violence. but when i came home before (only gone for an hour) my female was missing most of her tale fin. shes pretty much just hiding now and im not sure what to do with them, and will it grow back?? HELP =[

It will heal, but definitely remove her if you haven't already. Warm, clean water should be enough so long as it doesn't get infected. New growth is white or clearish and will re-color with time, but it'll take a few weeks. Just keep her as little stressed as you can and watch for signs of redness or black along the edges.

This happens and will repeat itself if she doesn't have any hideouts where males can't follow.

Since I don't know her real condition, it would be best if you took her out and medicated her.

The fins will grow back as long as you take care to give her plenty of warm clean water and watch for infection.
One of my males tore off almost all of my female's anal fin and it has all grown back, doesn't look like anything ever happened to her.

It's generally depends on the breeder and the female. Some girls are still uber willing to spawn even at the the point your girl as at.

But i'm glad you took her out. Some warm water and AQ salt will help her fins heal up in no time. there are some water conditioners that help with fin regrowth too but I don't know which ones and what the active ingredient is, for all I know it's just salt.xD
