Yes don't give up,I have already tried 5 spawns and all the fry died in about a month ago.Yesterday my pair just spawned and i am not giving up.

Just don't give up. Use your ideas to create life.

whats the weather over there.
i think your interacting to much with your fish.
when i breed i look for sign.
health(if a fish can't flare more then 15 min. without stopping)not health enough yet
are they ready to breed(female vertical stripe and showing sign of interest in the male with head lower down)health male is always ready to breed
when breeding i don't look at my fish though out the day
i just make sure all the sign are there and a few hiding spot for the female
i just check on them twice a day(right before light out and once in the morning)
to see if they breed(10-30 second)
thats it.
if the they breed.
i just count the day
1-2 for egg to hatch
3 for free swimming
so i don't even bother with them until the 4th day.
just to check if i've have free swimming babies
