Sorority tank ratio...???

i am new to the idea of a sorority tank.
can someone please explain why they need to be more then just 2..?

One will bully the other, the weaker will die from injuries and possibly the bully could die too. 4 is the absolute minimum.

Having more than one female will spread aggression, you need a min. of a 10 gallon tank.... with a 10 gallon you can SAFELY put in 5-6.... no less no more to be safe and the tank would need to be heavily decorated to help break lines of sight....
