IAL and aq salt

So Ludendorff has fin melt. He's floating in his q-cup to go into an aq salt mixture but he's been getting cozy with a large IAL. Will the properties rule each other out? I want to keep the IAL there for him to rest on. Any help and good vibes will be greatly appreciated!

I am not sure I understand what you mean by their properties ruling each other out.....

Anyway, using both IAL or dried Oak leaf and aquarium salt for treatment for fin issues is what I recommend-since both have antibacterial/fungal properties....keep the IAL with him so it will keep releasing tannins and I would also premix the treatment water in a 1gal jug of dechlorinated water and add 1 crushed IAL and 2tsp/gal aquarium salt and use this for the daily water changes while he is in the QT for treatment...be sure and properly acclimate him to the treatment water....and good nutrition is really important for the healing process as well....

Oh yes! I'll crush up my last IAL into the salt solution tomorrow. I just fully acclimated him into his first salt water treatment, and he still has the leaf. I'm actually having trouble with my ebay + paypal accounts again. They're not syncing with my credit card. This happened before. I deleted all 3 accounts to start over, thereby losing all my ebay stars.. Rotted. I was so mad.
So, I'll be on my last one tomorrw!! O.o I hope they last until I get more!

He doesn't want to eat frozen bloodworms. I'm thinking he's never had sinking food before. But he still eats floating pellets. I soaked them in garlic prior to feeding bc I thought he was turning his nose up.
