Hello from Puerto Rico!

Hello everyone! :)

I'm 25 years old and I used to have 2 different types of aquariums (a 10 gallons with saltwater fish and a 30 gallons with cichlids). But years have passed and now I'm starting again with a 2.65 gallon aquarium with my cute little halfmoon betta, Edward.

Maybe someday i'll get him a 5 gallon one...but he looks very happy in his pretty home :)

oh and can anyone guess why I named him Edward?

Yep, that's him!

I'm trying to make him flare and take a picture because I'm not sure if he's really a halfmoon betta. I know that in petsmart he was classified as a halfmoon betta, but i'm not so sure, but I don't mind :)

Nvm I just seen your other pictures. His eye is black, so nothing to be worry about.

Thing you should watch out for his eye is popeye. Only tell is his eye would get bigger than usual. Popeye is a bacterial infection usually caused by poor water condition. Just abit of advice. :)

Edward is beautiful. One of my favorite bettas are dragons and red dragons can be so unique.

Also eyes dont determine if a betta is stressed. Lethargy, loss of color, rubbing against decor and gravel, ect are signs of stress and illness.

Good luck with your new betta.
