I am now worried about the 'cloudy eye' infection though. I have Myxazin here at home, it says it treats Cloudy/Pop eye among other things, so it would be pretty easy for me to drop some in the tank. But I am worried it would cause problems if he was actually ok. The thing is I am no fish expert and as such am unable to tell if there is something wrong with his eye or if his eyes just look strange because of the camera flash/lighting? Should I just drop some medicine in as a precaution?

Well that last think you want to do is drop some medicine in. That could definitely cause problems.
Contact OFL (OldFishLady) and let her know your troubles. She is great in the diseases. If it was me I would put in that medicine, though I would double check with her as I am telling you.
