Brutus update!

Hi all! Just wanted to give an update on Brutus. He is settling in well! He started eating last night! I was able to use a pipette with some soaked New Life Spectrum pellets to get him to eat. This morning I gave him some bloodworms. He won't eat if I just drop food in right now. I'm not sure if that's from him being very wary of hands or what...But hopefully he won't just eat via a pipette bringing it to him lol. He's an extremely active boy, and is very hard to get photographs of. I noticed a tear in his tail this morning, so he'll be staying with me until that is healed (and he eats normally). I don't know if he had that originally or not, and there is nothing in the tank that would have done it. He breathes really rapidly, but I am thinking that is just because he is constantly active and has such short little fins for the size of his body. All in all though, he is doing great! He's no longer keeping his fins clamped, and he has a good little personality.

I'm also happy to say that he'll be going to a 10 gallon tank when he's ready to go to my coworker.

Here is the 2 gal Kritter Keeper he is living in right now. It is filtered and heated. :)

Patience! Lots of patience! (and lots of bad photos lol) I have a Canon PowerShot SX250 IS. Using the Macro feature, and taking lots of photos, I end up with a few good ones.

Yep, I noticed that when I picked him out. Gives him almost a scarred/fighter appearance lol. Makes his face look smooshed too, kind of like a bulldog.
