Sexing Fry

Hi everyone,
I have not been on much, busy at work and at home with my tanks.
The spawn I posted earlier is doing just great!!!
The babies are growing and getting nice colors,I still need to try and post some pics!!!!
My question is:
How long before I can start sexing them?
It is so cool to approach the tank and have about 3 dozen Bettas all gather at the front of the tank looking for food!!!
I am off to see if I can get some pics!!
Thanks in advance for any help!

Probably at six months...Or four months I'm not sure...But I have heard that if they grew up together betta's can live together even the males and females long as their not seperated.

(Only works for spawns growing up together.)

I have heard that also.
My camera will not take very good pics, but I will try to put a few on tomorrow.
I have some small ones that will approach some twice thier size and chase them,it is very comical!!!
They only chase them a couple of inches and then seem to attack a piece of Almond Leaf, just playing I guess.

Usually they can be sexed by the time they are four months older, often earlier. While keeping fry together might work, you might get some surprise spawnings if they are older than four months old.

Fry usually can be sexed around 2 months or around 2cm. Long finned types are easier to sex since the males have much bigger and longer fins. But short finned types are usually harder to sex because both sexes show similar finnage.

The vibrant colored ones (without breeding bars) are most likely males. Females often (not always) show stress lines before eventually coloring up. And when they do show colors, they usually show breeding bars.

Ok,my camera takes lousy pics of my fish, have to get a better one!!
My Female is a redish Crowntail, the Male is a blue Delta Tail.
The babies are dark and some look white, there are red ones, some of them have a very nice neon blue in them.
When they get a little larger I will try putting them in bowls for pics.
It seems to be an even mix of tail forms, the neon blue really looks pretty.
