ADFs are social and you would need at least 2 froggies.. and I would not try putting in 2 frogs with a betta as that is quite a lot.
Even trying to keep ADFs with betta requires a lot of research and work- such as hand-feeding the frogs, which can sometimes take a long time to do.

The majority opinion is no tank mates in anything less than 10 gal. Also, not to be a grammar nazi but it's a bit of a nuisance to the people here to help you when you type like that. No offence intended, of course.

also, If you really want frogs with your betta, get a bigger tank and get claw toed frogs. They are much less of a hassle in my experience (my mom has kept

Scrap, African Clawed Frogs are not ever recommended with bettas as they can be extremely vicious and have killed tankmates. It may work for your mother, but I'd advise not recommending it to other people as 99 times in 100, it will end in disaster.

For a beginner i would not recommend a betta and an ADF in anything less than five gallons, ten is better.

ADFs are not so much social as more active in groups. I have kept single frogs and groups of frogs, and see no real change in their health.

Please, do not get clawed frogs as Scrap suggests, they will eat anything that fits in their mouth... I have a friend who has seen hers take down a four inch goldfish...

Clawed frogs grow huuge, a betta would be easy pickings for even a mid sized one.
