Do you know what this fish is?!

My fiance went fish shopping a month ago and picked up these guys. He can't remember what they are but they are very aggressive with each other and flare like betta's this is what happens when you buy a fish without proper research *Shakes a finger at fiance* can't find a pic of anything like these at all online. They resemble Gourami's a little. Again, they flare face plates like betta's and their dorsel and face actually gets a little black when they are mad. The black comes and leaves in like... a minute. can anybody give me an idea to what they may be so I can figure them out?

It's a Paradise Fish. Kind of nasty. Not a good community fish.

okay, i'll check that out. Honestly, I love all my fish but this fish sucks. lol

okay definatly a paradise. Boy they are similar to betta's in many ways, Thanks so so much. I think these guys need to be in my 29 gallon. I appreciate it.

i learned this the hard way. They attacked and killed one of the three paradise they sold him. The fish store sold him three and said they'd be fine. I am trying to rehome one of the last two. I am trying to get my dad to take one but they stressed out the other fish so much they can't leave yet. two other fish have ich now. Sorry for taking so long to respond.
