Exclamation So freaked out i think hes dying! help =,(

I've had luckybear since July he's been active and a good fish. About 2 weeks ago we went to AZ and had to leave him with my brother to be fed. When we came back he seemed okay but was swimming a lil less than usual, out of no where yesterday he woke us up with a loud splash in his 1.8 gallon tank, he was still in there and was swimming around really crazy like if he was getting electrocuted, i got so freaked out i disconnected his heater thinking it might be that but he kept doing it for like a few minutes then stopped went to the top of the bowl and just layed there. I waited an hour, heater still unplugged and started dozing of when again he did the same thing all over again, i immediately took him out of his bowl and put him in a different one half gallon with treated water and no heater but same temperature water so he wont get shocked. He went all the way to the top and layed there. A few hours later he did the same thing but it seemed worse he started swimming downwards but in a curled down position as in his head under his tail and looked like he was tangled (there was nothing in this bowl) then he went all the way to the bottom layed sideways still and his gills started flaring like Ive never seen them ever over and over again very rapidly. Still just laying there sideways, i thought he was dying for sure and a few minutes after he went all the way to the top and layed there still no movement but i could see his gills moving very slowly this time like he could bearly breathe. He looks normal from the outside to me, a slightly bloated from his stomach but not drastically. I will try to post a picture. Here are the FAQS
