Red face eggs

so does anyone else hate waiting for eggs to hatch just as much as i do? lol

i just wanna see if im gonna get fry or not, i have a feeling these eggs will be no good ><

i am, it just sucks waiting... this is my 12th attempt to get fry, and its the closest iv ever gotten

its prolly cause you keep watching them and you might have spooked them when they do their thing. That can be a factor as to why males eats the eggs too

Yup, it does take a lot of patience.

I agree that approaching the tank too much can trigger egg eating on the males.
I usually cover my tanks all around until the fry are free swimming. I do peek in from time to time to make sure everything is well and to take pictures.

Wait until you have your fry, then you will want them to hurry up and grow.

i just went in to take a peak and i see like a clear film on all my eggs and im gonna guess if thats fungus/mold they wont hatch?

YESS!, lol woke up this morning to go to work and the nest was "raining" fry darting up and down..

it seemed like there were more fry this morning, i only see about 50 or so now, i think some started free swimming, i see some by my guppy grass
