I've had Keller in the same 10g tank with baffled filter for months and this morning he suddenly realized the baffle is quite reflective:) So all morning he scootches up against the current, flare flare flare he really tells that baffle who's boss, then lets himself get swept down by the current on the side, then goes back in for more. I'm cracking up.
On another note I recently got one of those floating logs, which when I saw in the store I thought was a bit ridiculous (of course the idiot store had this huge thing in one of their miniscule bowls, so it took up the entire top of the bowl, poor betta). But I got one on impulse, put it on top of Keller's favorite plant, which is sort of right next to my bed (aquarium is on bedside table), and he now sleeps in his log with his head poking out in my direction. It's quite cute, he's literally sleeping like 2 feet from me:)
