Exclamation Something is wrong with Coco :( *Pics included*

I was looking at Coco today, as I noticed he had been hanging around the bottom quite a bit today... Looked him over once.. looked fine... looked more closely and saw it... His Eye looked Weird and gross....

I dont know if this will help but the other night my heater went out and the water went down to about 65... I brought it back up to 77 the next day.

He is eating, Pooping and swimming like normal... the only "out of the ordinary" thing was that he was laying at the bottom of his tank. (he does his to sleep sometimes but usually thats only when I put his tank light out)

He lives in a 10g tank, that is heated and filtered. He eats 2 pellets a day 6 days out of the week.

I am not treating him at the moment as Im not quite sure wtf it is lol.

Please help I dont want him to die, I have had him for a little over a year.

fill out the form - it's located in a sticky at the top of this section. that will help the experts here advise you.

in the meantime, i would put him in a heated hospital tank. like a one gallon or so, and probably start doing daily 100% water changes.

it's probably popeye from too much ammonia in the water.

That's impossible.. I have a 10g filtered tank and do 25-50% water changes weekly... the eye is not Popped out.. it is milky.

His eyes have always looked a "little popped out" ever since i got him.. a YEAR ago.

His eye does not look like this.

That's an infection. Please test your wat and give exact parameters. In the mean time you can treat with aquarium salt at 1 tsp per.gallon for 10 days. Live plants do not like salt so you will need to move your fish to a hospital tank to treat. You can also try antibiotics like kanalex or furan 2 but know they may break
down your cycle

Just as a side note I.would.make sure your pellets are protein based and not wheat based... first 3 I.grddients should be protein.s. omega one.Betta.buffet or new life spectrum Betta are good.options. feed 3 to 4 omega one or standard size split up to twice a.day meals or 6 to 8 of nls. Nls fan be found at perform and persmart
