API Test Tubes??

Anyone know where to get replacement ones? I've cracked two this week and dropped one down the drain. It has been a butterfingers week lol. So I'm down to one...

I know of a seller, they are labeled under Doc Wellfish replacement test tubes is what they are called. But made by API. I have seen them come in from packs of 3 to 24. Which may come in handy in your case haha. Amazon or planetrenadirect several other websites sell them.

So nothing that can be bought locally? Testing the levels for tanks is no fun with one tube. I treat it like gold lol.

Maybe you could use another ammonia test kit? Comes with a test tube.

Go to a local veterinarian and ask if they will give/sell you a red top tube, the kind used occasionally in blood collection (may be different coloured in the US). It's a plain glass tube with a rubber stopper that holds about 3-5ml of liquid. I worked at a vet for a few years and those are dirt cheap so even if they didn't give one to you, I bet they'd give you a better deal than pet smart/supply stores (most vets buy them in bulk... Like 100 for $10)

Mike - I am so glad you posted this, I was actually about to ask this question myself. Those testubes are so frail and I broke two in the first month I bought the test kit.

Blue - do you know if these replacement tubes have the 5mL line on them?
