Good plant for spawning tank?

I have a plant called a bolivian jew or turtle vine, it is a very easy plant to take cuttings from & roots quickly. Would it be ok to use as the live plant when I breed my bettas?

Since this isn't aquatic you would only be able to keep the stem/roots in the water-if fully underwater it will only rot and die-fouling the water and killing the fry....I wouldn't recommend its use even with just the stem/roots in the water once you have may be fine to spawn-but I wouldn't risk it fouling the water with fry-they can be a bit more sensitive to water quality...

I would look at getting aquatic plants...naja grass is a great plant for spawning tanks and will do well both floating and rooted....

I wouldn't use anything that is not aquatic in your tank. Not only will they rot but some plants are toxic. Java moss or guppy grass is great for spawn tanks and is normally inexpensive to purchase. You may be able to find someone to send you some for free if you pay for shipping,

I have found, water wisteria, horn wort, and aluminum plant to be great. Especially the horn wort for the fry (ideally, I shall find out any time when my eggs hatch)
My male loved using the aluminum plant leaves for nesting.
