New Betta Tank

Had to move my betta out from his 10g due to tetra's having a war with him after a few days.

Then I went to a LFS to get him his new personal tank which it would not be sharing with other fishes.

This is its new home. :D

Your views on the tank.
Is it to small for him?
Any tips or advice. Would greatly appreciate it.
The filter is currently off as the current is to strong for him.
When its on its like a whirlpool for him, bad choice of buying the filter.
Is it okay for this size tank not to have a filter?
Its planted with dwarf hair grass and I am not sure what the other plant is.

I want that tank! How many gallons is it? Looks like a nice size to me! Reminds me of my Fluval Chi in size Hmm, can you baffle the filter? I love having a filter because 100% water changes with a larger tank are a pain in the butt!

Hey thanks for the reply, baffle as it sponging the intake?

I am not sure how many gallons it is.
However I do have the measurements,
Its 200mm x200mm x250mm. If I am not wrong :)

Too small? It's a good size! He could definitely fit in that. How many gallons?

By my maths, based on those measurements, it is 10 litres, or 2.5 gallons.
The plant up the back *looks* like elodea (also called anacharis), but I can't tell for sure. Some more live plants (not that you'll need to buy any, since elodea grows like the weed it is) will prevent you from having to do 100% changes. :)

Yep. When in doubt (for metric measurements), multiply all the measurements together (in cm) and divide by 1000 to get how many litres it is. There are roughly 4 litres per US gallon.

It looks fine in size to me! I have mine in a 1 gal. Mini bowl and he is great! You should put a cave thing in there for him to hide in. I managed to fit a small cave in mine.
