Question for those of you who feed your betta frozen bloodworms:
I have the Hikari flat-packed frozen bloodworms. They appear bright red in the package. I crush the end of it (still frozen) into small pieces and pick out a few to feed - all bright red, I discard any brownish ones. I leave them to thaw and they "melt" into worms in a red liquid (the color leaches into the liquid). I add a little tank water to heat them up more and a lot of the red color dissolves in the water. When I drop them in the tank, they almost look clear.
Is this normal? How do you feed frozen bloodworms, and how many do you feed?
