I am so sorry about your fish!!

for live plants I always quarantine... especially if using salt (other than epsom which is safe). that way you know you'll still have live plants left.

For medication they will all needed to be cupped and just float them in the tank. Just tape their cups to the side so they don't tip.

The salt should only be used for treatments and only for a short amount of time (10-14 days). And I don't know how your plants didn't react to the salt, unless they are semi brackish plants. Plants usually don't take salt very good, same with medications.

Aw, Gienah, I'm sorry about Mollig. :( She looked to be in pretty bad shape so you can feel at ease knowing she's no longer in distress. Aggressive columnaris can be awful because it can move so fast.

Your best bet for treating a planted 20g probably is what Sena suggested, removing the plants to quarantine. But if you have a whole lot of plants, it might be easier to remove the girls. This is the only real downside to planted aquariums, is when you have to treat a tank. :(

I think the plants will be the easiest to remove. Once the medication arrives, I'll get to the treatment.

Princess caught whatever Bounce, Lipstick, and Mollig had by the time the medicine arrived. But, she's showing a lot of improvement and has gotten back to harassing the lower-ranked girls in the sorority. All together, I'm hoping for a complete recovery from the tank. :)
