Would it be better if I switched fish tanks?

My betta has been sick for months now, I've been treating her with epsom salt and Kordon Rid Fungus. They seem to be keeping her alive, despite her very swollen abdomen and in ability to even see her food clearly. At a point her scales raised and she appeared to have dropsy, that has gone down since. Her fins are very frayed, but she's still hanging in there.

My question mainly is whether or not I should keep her in the 6 gallon filtered tank or remove her to a quarantine tank without a filter. The 6 gallon does not have any carbon atm, due to the meds. I just feel like this tank is entirely infected now, and I need to completely sanitize it.

Should I quarantine her or keep her in the same tank she's been in?

Also she didn't get sick while in this tank, but while she was in a split tank with another fish. That fish unfortunately died of dropsy.

You could quarantine her to not use so much medication and making water changes easier, just make sure to heat the water.

I am not really familiar with medications, hopefully I get better, the advice I will say is PM Sakura or Darkmoon or both for a quick response.

I would leave her where she is. If there are no other fish in the tank, there is no real advantage to a quarantine tank, IMHO, and a move may stress her. It sounds like stress is the last thing the poor girl needs.

Not to be a harbinger of doom, but if the other girl died of dropsy, this girl may not recover, as dropsy is fatal. You may want to look into euthanasia methods if things get worse. :(

I was thinking the same thing, about leaving her where she is. I probably will. I just wasn't sure. I just feel like the filter is infected, which might just end up defeating medicating her. But I could be wrong. After I bought the epsom salt, she really seemed to get a little better. The swelling went down quite a bit surprisingly. That was about three weeks ago. The pineconing of the scales actually went away. I am hoping she might survive, but I know there's a chance she won't live long regardless. This illness definitely took a took on her body.
