Pale, stress-striped, and MINE. Crowntail!

I've been watching this guy for at least a week, it may even be closer to two, and I just could not leave him there any longer. His stress tripes got progressively more pronounced and his color more and more drained out, so today I purchased him while rescuing a halfmoon plakat male.

He's a little clamped, so I don't know how good his tail rays are yet, I just want to get him perked back up and see what happens with his color!

After 20 minutes of floating in warm water and a partial water change (old water in bucket, clean water from the tank added to his cup). Already see a hint of red wash!

I am hoping he might be marbled, but I'm not certain yet, since he's so pale.

Pic spam!

I've decided to call him Ysbryd, which is Welsh for "ghost." He is an amazing little guy!

http://youtu.be/tfqmq8csMuM : Here's Duckie and Ysbryd showing off. Ysbryd would not flare whatsoever at Petco.

Very cool looking fish! I can't wait to see him when he settles in. He'll be beautiful.

It's amazing how much they change in only a few hours after getting them out of their nasty water! It's unbelieveable, he's a completely another fish already :) can't wait to see him when he settles in properly, i have a feeling he's gonna be an amazing fish! :)

I am curious to see what color he really is. I got a small VT female that was the same color as yours and within 20 minutes of being home (still in her petco water) she turned deep red.

I'm excited to see, too. So far, he's looking a bit silvery and steel-colored, with light red wash. His eyes are pale, too.
