Cleaning tank?

Hi. I have a 1.5 gallon bowl (yes, I know it isn't good, but my 2.5 gallon tank broke and I plan on buying a new one soon), and I have a lot of questions about cleaning it. 1. How many times a week should I clean it? I cleaned the bowl yesterday so I'm good on that for now. 2. What can I do when it starts to smell? I know I can't use any soap, because that would just be very bad. I rinse the marbles very good, so there is no left over food. After a while it can start to smell. 3. How many decorations should I put the bowl? Should I put any because I want him to be able to swim. Right now I have something he can swim in and out of, but I don't know if I should put a plant in instead. Any suggestions would be nice!

you should clean the tank every other day.

It will not smell unless there is something very wrong with the tank.

Okay. Should I do a 100% water change?

As long as you do the correct amount of water changes, it shouldn't smell :) And yes I agree with Vivian, 100% every other day. Mine smells vaguely fishy and earthy if I shove my nose in it, but nothing bad.
