I had lots of live duckweed, and moss in the tank but it started growing all over that so had to toss it. No snails, or shrimp in them at this point.

So my second spawn is underway.
After losing a male I had hoped to spawn(in a different spawn) yesterday I decided to say "screw it" to waiting till this weekend to begin this spawn.
I have my tank filled about 1/3 to half way with 84 degree water. Heater set for 84ish. Sponge filter is going, 1 mystery snail in the tank atm. I have 1 sword plant set up for the male, and aluminum plant and water wisteria in the opposite corner for the female.

I will be adding an IAL leaf for the male when I get to releasing the female.
He is in the tank, she is in a 1 gal bowl in the center of the tank.

He comes over and stares at her, he flirts a little then moves off. She is half interested. She looks at him dances a little then ignores him. Hopefully gets to to blowing a nest here soon.

I am thinking I will leave her in the bowl till tomorrow afternoon when I get home from class.

An Actual spawn update. The female was released into the tank yesterday, he has built a massive bubblenest, though she is still doing the run away thing. She isn't too bad off though a few rips in her anal fin is about all. I haven't seen any eggs yet, so I am hoping I didnt miss the embracing. I have been down with something like the flu, but am on the mend. I am thinking they havent mated because he still chases and shows off for her.

So I think they embraced while I wasn't looking. He seems to be staying under the nest and if she gets too close he flares up and chases her off a little ways. Then just ignores her. To me that says they mated. I can't see eggs but it is a bigger tanks and the nest is in the middle/back corner. So I can't get a good view.
I am going to get her recovery tank up and running and get ready to pull her.
