New person from Kansas c:

Hello ^^ Just thought I would kind of introduce myself here.

I'm Kathryn (Kaya for short) and.... well I'm kind of new to obsessive betta keeping.

I'd had betta's before but none that I've been as attached to as the two I currently have. The one in my avatar picture is Koulaid. He's a very happy overly spoiled betta. I used this website for a lot of hints and help on things I didn't already know and couldn't find anywhere else. I also have a double tailed black halfmoon betta who is less of a ham for the camera :c I actually picked him up from petco 4 days ago. He was in some nasty horrid water but was surprisingly energetic and healthy looking. The water he had was not even enough to cover him all the way....

Anyway. because this site has helped me I figured it's my turn to give back and join as a member. I hope I can share my knowledge, stories, and good times. Thank you for your time and thank you reading~!! ^_^

Hiya!! And welcome!! I found this site changed the way I see and keep betta too! I started with a .75g "starter kit" from the LPS which came with a nasty fin shredding plant and bad flakie food but upgraded. Now I will always have at least 2 ! (the bf seems not to mind.. I can slowly upgrade to a couple more once we have a larger apartment)

ANyway, Great to see you around! Look forward to seeing more pics!
