My tap water before/after treatment with Seachem Prime has a very low pH--sometimes off the charts, so possibly lower than 5.0 even.
(Prime doesn't even claim to impact pH; I'm just giving all info I can.)
I understand that the most important issue with pH is keeping it stable (once the fish has adapted), but is there a safe way to get it more in the "comfort zone"?
I know pH and water hardness can be related. I'd like to keep GH and KH as low as low can be (this is because of fin damage, regrowth, curling, etc. that are sometimes due to hard water), if that's possible while raising the pH.
Any and all advice is much appreciated!
